Rovio’s Challenge Bay recently proved that there’s an desire for food for high seas swashbuckling among the list of growing mobile online shooter market.
If you’d like something a little more serious, strategic, and historically appear from your naval skirmishes however, World of Warships Blitz Cheats could be for you.
Having just joined soft start in the Philippines, I decided to put the game through its paces.
The name might well have tipped you off, but World of Warships Blitz Hack is from the same team that helped bring you Phrase of Tanks Blitz. Just like that game, it started out its life from PC before directing its prow towards mobile-land.
Essentially, the game boils down to shooting real life opponents and wanting to get the other team’s place by sailing into their flag area. It’s that you’re doing so with hulking multi-tonne battleships with the turning circles of, well, battleships.
Much like its predecessor, World of Warships Blitz Hack isn’t your average run-and-gun action game. There’s a real sense of weight to its battle. It feels satisfyingly mechanical.
Every move you make here must be organized and thought through. The actual fact you are piloting huge ships means that it requires a while to get up to accelerate and, crucially, switch. Aiming must be done slowly and gradually and delicately, lest you get away from the concentrating on reticule.
Thar she blows
The huge distance you engage your targets at plays a component too. You need to skilfully lead your photographs when participating a moving goal, while getting the powerful torpedo on aim for (for the ships that contain them) requires a dangerous combination to be both close up and side-on to your focus on.
That isn’t even taking into account the need to released deck fires (there’s location-based destruction here) and send out repair crews to patch yourself up mid-fight.
Basically, challenge in World of Warships Blitz is difficult. Once I transferred free from the tutorial battles and into online battles against real players, I needed repeated poundings from patient, wily opponents.
You really need to thing your goes through – charging directly into the fray without back-up is a sure-fire way to get blown out of the water.
I have no doubt that World of Warships Blitz is likely to be a massive strike with a sub-sector of players, as it’s going to alienate those after a quick blast.
I’m less certain the way the game’s freemium framework will pan out. I came across the system for purchasing new boats to be a little opaque to state minimal, and it remains to be seen how much of an advantage splashing out real money on the fancier models will give you.
Given the demanding and tactical character of the battle, though – not forgetting the developer’s pedigree – I’m self-confident that World of Warships Blitz will be an interesting skill-based multiplayer game when it finally visits the App Store proper.
